Hi I'm Jessica Eve

My favorite candy is Smarties . I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm am a Junior in College studying Mathematics. I'm currently debating between a career as an actuary or a cryptographer, but my favorite would be a high school math teacher. I love to read. Right now I'm reading all the Twilight books and Harry Potter books. I like to read a book before I see the movie. I love to play soccer and lazer tag, and although I'm no good at it, I find basketball to be fun as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two parents who are both mormon, and they as I grew up they taught me about the Gospel, and in the process taught me how to live my life more Christ like. When I was 8 years old I was given the decision to be baptised as a member of the chruch, and I accepted because I knew that I wanted this life style to always be a part of my life, and I knew that the Chruch was true. I grew up believeing in the church because my parents taught me to, but I received my own personal witness that the chruch is true when I was 12 years old. I was reading The Book of Mormon and had decided to pray about it. I already knew that the chruch was true, but I was told it would be a good idea to really find out for myself. After I finished reading the Book of Mormon I prayed about it, and I felt good about it, so I figured that was my answer, but the next sunday I was reading Joseph Smith's account of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appearing to him in the first vision, and that's when it trully hit me. I knew that the church was true. To this day I still know with all my heart that the church is true. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. I know that he found and translated the gold plates so that we could have the Book of Mormon today, and I know that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet on the earth today, and I am eternally grateful for how much Heavenly Father loves me to send his only begotten son to this earth to die for my sins. I know that the atonement is real, and I know that with out Christ and without repentance I would never be able to make it back to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that with hard work, dilligence in the gospel, charity, and faith, and a lot of help from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I will be able to return to heaven to be with God and with my family. I am so grateful for this knowledge, and I hope that everyone gets the oportunity to hear about the gospel and feel the way I feel about it!

How I live my faith

I love reading my scriptures and saying my prayers. Praying is the best way that I know of to keep in constant comunication with my Heavenly Father. I attend Church every week and am so grateful for that spiritual upliftment every week. I go to the LDS temple at least once a month, and I enjoy listening to uplifting church music to help me feel the spirit and think clearlly.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The church is growing so well because it is true, and people around the world are learning of it's truth. Show more Show less
