Hi I'm Jacob Buhl

I'm a Hokie football fan from Virginia, a poor college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying History and I want to be a high school history teacher and a football coach! I grew up in Virginia. My father is a Confederate Reenactor.....yes...like in the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I love the outdoors!!! I love to camp, fish, hike, canoe, swim, just everything outside. I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have received an answer from Our Heavenly Father that we have a prophet on the Earth today that is leading His church. I absolutely know The Book of Mormon was written by prophets of old, when I read it I can feel the power in their words. I am a Mormon because it brings me closer to living how I believe Jesus Christ would want me to live my life.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a lifestyle, because I know there are certain things that our God wants me to do. So I read the scriptures as often as I can. Life is crazy so it makes it hard but everytime I make a sacrifice to read them I feel blessed. I ackowledge God in everything. I know that from Him I receive all that I have including my body and this life. I don't drink alcohol or smoke anything. Within the church I have a responsibility to help younger guys to understand the importance of living a good life and avoiding getting involved in bad situations and habit. I really enjoy this because I personally remember and understand how hard it is to be a teenager in this world, with all different temptations! It's a lot of fun and very rewarding.
