Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon. This is a picture of me and my eternal sweetheart, Darla.

About Me

I work at a University. I have worked in juvenile corrections and mental health. I graduated with a MSW. I am a widower. I have 6 children and 11 grandchildren. I love to run and have done 20 marathons. I love my family they are most important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. But, I learned very early in my life that the Book of Mormon was indeed the word of God as I felt a spiritual conviction of this. The best day in my life was when I married my sweetheart for time and all eternity in the temple of God. I am so grateful for my knowledge that we will be together forever despite my wife's early unexpected death. I have faith in God's plan for us. I have hope that we will be together forever. Our love continues to grow despite our mortal seperation. We walk hand in hand though we live apart our hearts are bound.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a disciple of Christ by learning more about my Savior and then try day by day to live like He showed us the way. I cannot imagine life without knowing of the power of the atonement. Everyday in my job at the university and as I serve in my church duties, and as a father I have opportunity to serve my Lord.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Kevin
My happiest and most blessed day of my life was when i was married to my sweetheart. We were married for 32 years when she suddenly passed away at the young age of 53. I cannot imagine being happy without her in the next life. Heaven would not be heaven wihout marriage and my family coninuing on eternally. I sincerely believe we are children of our Heavenly Father. Though we are physically born of mortal parents, our spiritual being were created prior to this earth life, and God is the Father of our Spirit and we have a mother of spirit also. We could see the joy of our Heavenly Father, and we desired to have these same blessings of eternal happiness, and so God established a great plan for us to gain the ability to be eternal families, and to gain the titles of father and mother, husband and wife, which we could not acheive as spirits. God has provided the means and authority for all of His children to achieve and receive these eternal blessings. He wants us to be eternally happy. So that happiest moment of my mortal life will also be the happiest moment of my eternal life. Show more Show less
