Hi I'm Shantra

I'm a veterinary technician, and a wife. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and moved out to Utah when I was 19 years old. I graduated from a 2-year school and then tried a 4-year campus after that. I soon discovered my high energy level was not made to deal with long lessons in the theory of my career path and so switched to a Technical School to become a Veterinary Technician. I'm now done with school and am married with no kids yet. My parents were divorced when I was young and so that's what I've known for most of my life. I have 3 older siblings and 3 younger half siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life. My mother is a member, but my father is not. I became inactive when I turned 18 due to pride. When I started attending college, the change of scene and the prospect of meeting new people in the church must have helped me to become active again. As I gained callings and learned what being a member was really all about, I began to love the idea. I love everything about the church and although I make mistakes and am better at some commandments than others, I try my hardest because I want to make it back to my Heavenly Father and Older Brother. I want to see all my great friends and those I've yet to be friends with, with me as one eternal family.

How I live my faith

I currently serve teaching the children about the Gospel. Although I may have failed my calling at different times, I truly love teaching and learning from the children. Because my husband and I are just starting out, we have no children yet, but teaching these little ones helps me to realize how I should and will teach my little ones when they come.
