Hi I'm Shane

I'm an engineer. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up on a cattle ranch in Wyoming, I have experienced cold days and bitter winds. But I have also experienced the warmth of family time around a glowing fire. An atmosphere of frugality and industry, peace and tranquility, and faith and hope have always pervaded our home. Christ and the gospel is the center of it. Our family enjoys family projects like building a playset, gardening, and honey bees. We also home school our children so we get a lot of time together as a family. We also enjoy Irish dancing, ballroom dancing, and folk dancing and most of us play in an ad hoc bluegrass band we are calling "The Sagebrush Bandits."

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and grandparents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But I gained my testimony on my own through prayer and scripture study. I find great peace in knowing where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going. The gospel of Jesus Christ answers these questions for me and I feel in my heart that it is true. What I know in my mind and what I feel in my heart is real to me. That is why I'm a Mormon. And that is why I want to share my knowledge and conviction with others. I'm confident that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring peace and happiness into the lives of my friends as it has mine.

How I live my faith

I strive to pattern my life after the example of the Savior. This means regular scripture study, prayer and service. I try to serve my family first. We attend church for three hours every Sunday and support our children in church activities related to their age groups.
