Hi I'm Will

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also known as the "Mormons".

About Me

I am married and have six children, three sons and three daughters. Two of our sons are married and we are blessed to have three grandchildren from those marriages. My mother was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was born in Ogden, Utah. My dad was a convert to the church in his early 40's. My wife is from Australia and we met because her sister is married to my brother. Her mother was a convert to the Church and my wife joined the Church when she was ten. I enjoy my family, reading, golf and being with our friends and neighbors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 8 and have been a member of the Church ever since. I grew up in Danville, California until I was 13 and then Mom and Dad their six sons moved to extreme northern California near the Oregon border. My mother and father made sure that our family was just that, a family, where we could enjoy each other's company and feel safe and loved. I went to sunday school and attended my church meetings growing up, but it wasn't until I left home that I had to gain my own testimony and knowledge that the Church was and is true. I read the scriptures, fasted and prayed and listened to the promptings of the Holy Ghost to confirm for myself that everything I had been taught as a youth was indeed true. Now that my wife and I have raised our six children, we hope that we have set the proper example for them to be good citizens, where they respect and love others as our Savior taught us. We know that the gospel of Jesus Christ that He proclaimed while in His mortal ministry, is the same gospel that was restored to the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1820. Through the gift and power of God we declare that additional scripture has come forth in the Book of Mormon, that further testifies and is a another witness of Jesus Christ. He is the Savior of the world and took upon Himself the sins of the world and we can return to him if we will have faith, repent, are baptized by those in authority and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. We know that we have been the beneficiaries of the Lord's teachings since my great-great grandparents on my mother's line immigrated to this country in the 1850's. I would invite you to attend one of our meetings that are open to all or simply write me and I would be happy to correspond and answer any questions you may have. May you know that we know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I have always been active in the Church. When I was a young boy I graduated from Primary at the age of 12 and became a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. I went to early morning seminary at 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday before high school and graduated when I was a Senior. After my first year away at college, I decided to serve a full-time mission for the Church and was called to share the gospel with the people of Peru for two years. My mission was the best decision I had made at that time of my life and helped cement the doctrines of Christ in my soul and taught me the true meaning of service by sharing those doctrines with others and seeing the joy that the gospel brings into Heavenly Father's children. Since that decision to serve a mission, I met and married my wife and have six wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren. I have been very active in numerous callings in the church over the years to help others enjoy the blessings of righteous living which is the result of the gospel. I have been involved in teaching the youth and giving service to others. I invite you to learn more about the teachings of Jesus Christ and would love to hear from you.

Who are the Mormons?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are also known as "Mormons". Mormon was an ancient prophet who lived in the Americas around 400 A.D.. Mormon compiled many other prophetic writings of a group of people who left Jerusalem approximately 600 B.C. and lived until 400 A.D.. These writings have come forward in our day and are known as The Book of Mormon-hence the nickname by which members of our faith are known-"The Mormons." Mormons are your neighbors, business associates and friends. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is our Savior and Redeemer. We invite all people to come unto Christ and know of His life and teachings. Show more Show less
