Hi I'm Rob

I'm in the U.S. Air Force, I'm working on being a pilot, I play soccer, I'm learning to play piano, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in Sydney Australia, I have spent three and a half years in the U.S. Airforce working on Aircraft, I am very active and have been around the world fixing aircraft and hopefully have a very bright future ahead. I have taken two years out of my career to serve the lord and to let the world know what I know.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I'm Mormon is because I was born into to the church and studied it later on in life and came to know nothing can compete with absolute truth! Why go against the workings of the universe?! I'm a Mormon because I exercised the freedom to choose and chose what is right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every possible Sunday, and people know that I am a Mormon by the things that I don't do and also the things that I do do. The way I live my life is not a limitation but a way of life that clears my mind to allow me to climb higher faster It is the winning recipe to success!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Rob
Why do I serve a mission/proselyte in Australia? I serve a mission to allow people to learn about the Gospel Jesus Christ restored by Joseph Smith and to find truth seekers. I show people how to find the truth through the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also teach that the purpose of life is to be happy and how to find true everlasting happiness. Oh yeah remember that I paid to serve two years out of my pocket.   Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Rob
Our Church has what is called a lay ministry, no leaders of the church get paid from top to bottom and side to side. Basically when a person is asked to do something they receive what we call a calling and they have the choice to accept or deny this calling, anyone who is called does not receive money for their work, they are volunteers. The leader of our church is called and therefore he is not paid. There has never been a leader of our church that has been paid for their services. We believe that as the bible states that we shouldn't do the work of God for "Filthy Lucre" as stated in 1Timothy 3. This is when Paul is writing to Timothy about the qualifications of a bishop which qualifications we apply to other leadership positions of the church such as prophets, apostles, seventies, stake presidents, bishops so on and so forth. Remember there are a few paid people like janitors, groundskeepers and a few other essential people to make the church run. Remember all people who have callings are volunteers! Show more Show less
