Hi I'm Amy.

I'm a Mormon and I love to learn.

About Me

I am currently a university student working toward a teaching degree with a focus on Earth/Space Science.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the blessing of being born into a family who was already Mormon, but I didn't stay a Mormon just because that was what I knew growing up. I have come to know the truthfulness of the doctrine, teachings, and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for myself. God, our loving Heavenly Father, answers prayers. He has and continues to answer mine and that is how I know truths and why I'm still a Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ is the way to true and everlasting happiness with my family (and yours) for eternity. I also know that it isn't a free ride to salvation. We are saved by grace after all we can do. We must do our part to follow Him. Jesus is the Christ. He lives. He loves us and wants us to be happy; however, it is up to us to choose. Yes, it is our choice.

How I live my faith

I live my life in accordance to the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am not perfect and I have made and continue to make mistakes, but I strive to live so that if I met my maker, I could be welcomed home into my Heavenly Father's presence with a clear conscience. I have learned how to work, which shows at my job and in my college studies. I'm grateful for what I learn in classes and in life. I try to take each experience and become a better person because of it. I had the opportunity to serve the Lord as a full time missionary and I saw many lives change and a light enter into them as they learned about Jesus Christ and came to know Him better.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?
