Hi I'm Jeana

I am mother to two small children, wife of an amazing but not-perfect husband, and I try each day to do good things.

About Me

I am grateful for the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for me as I experience changes in my life. With a recent move for my husbands work far from family at a time in my life where I am relearning who I am, now as a young mother, there is nothing more comforting than having an eternal perspective and constant reminders of what is most important. The Lord has greatly blessed me with comfort through my trials, and with small children sometimes trials seem to be many, with talents that bring me joy, and most especially a loving family that support me and help me want to be better each day. I love to do many things and have been blessed with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge that have blessed my life and which I have striven to use to bless the lives of others. This sharing has brought me the greatest joy in my life. Especially as a young mother with the tendency to become a hermit in my own home. I have found that my greatest happiness comes as I reach out to help others and see beyond my own problems. I also can't make it through the day without studying my scriptures and finding time to do things that I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to have the gospel in my life since birth but my testimony of it has come through experience, desire, and prayer. The Book of Mormon contains the answer to why I am a Mormon; we must ask if it is true, and I have. The Lord has answered my prayers time after time and strengthened my faith as I have sought for His help. I love this gospel. It brings peace and joy that I have found no where else.

How I live my faith

My daily effort is centered on becoming better at living my faith. Faith is more than a feeling it is a principle of action. Knowing that the Savior loves me and wants me to help others and become more like Him guides my daily actions. I am far from perfect, but when I struggle or make a mistake I try to do better the next day; better for me, for others, and especially for my Savior. My faith in the Savior and His sacrifice for me makes me want to serve in the church and to those around me, work harder at being a loving wife and mother, and overcome my weaknesses to become the person He needs me to be.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

What an incredible blessing it is to have a prophet on the Earth today who guides us and loves us! I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and that He receives inspiration from our Savior for the people in this day. I love to hear his talks, his stories, and his testimony. I have had the opportunity to be in the temple at the same time as this wonderful man and some of the other apostles and he truly has a radiating spirit of love and the light of Christ in his countenance. The Spirit has born testimony to me that he is His prophet.
