Hi I'm Jenessa

I'm a Mormon and I love it. I am a Special Education teacher, I love to have fun, and I love to learn.

About Me

I was raised LDS, am the 4th child out of five, and love it. I attended BYU in Provo, UT studying Special Education and teaching English as a second language. I'm finishing up my Master's degree in teaching reading and literacy at the University of Utah so I can become a better teacher for my students. I love spending time in the outdoors, going on adventures, hanging out with friends and family, watching movies, playing piano, and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born and raised LDS. Growing up, I never really doubted my faith. However, as I finally sought for myself through prayer and studying the words of the Lord in the scriptures, I have been able to establish my own firm testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of this restored Gospel. My faith still has a ton of room to grow. I know that this is His Gospel and that it brings SO much more happiness into my life that I would not trade for anything.

How I live my faith

I wouldn't have it any other way than living the LDS way. I am one of 5 children, somewhat of a larger family. I attended religion classes at BYU like Christian History, New Testament, Book of Mormon, etc. I attend church every Sunday for 3 hours. I attend the temple whenever possible. I visit teach 2 women in my ward each month where we can sit and chat and teach each other. I take care of my body by not partaking of alcohol or drugs. I try to study the words of living prophets and the Savior found in the scriptures as much as I can. I pray every day for strength to keep pushing forward and acting upon the promptings I feel.
