Hi I'm Josh

I am a disciple of Christ!

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and am definately a SoCal boy. I am the fourth of six children, being in the middle definately had its challenges. I just got married to the most amazing woman in the world and would do anything for her. I just graduated from college as well. I just recently started getting big into sports, I love college football. I love to play sports as well but one of my favorite past times is watching movies. I own a plethora of movies and always enjoy a good movie. I just love having fun, I love to laugh and play games. I love my friends and my family because they have helped shape me into who I am today and they are always there for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but did not always have a strong testimony. Growing up I just did what was expected of me. In church I learned everything about the gospel, and logically it made sense but I had not been converted. It was not until I received a mission call to go to North Carolina for two years and went into the Missionary Training Center in Provo, UT that I really gained my testimony. It was there that I realized that I had leaned on the testimony of my parents and others to get me to that point but I had to find out for myself what was true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know that it was true and it took a few days of soul searching but finally it struck me and the feeling that came over me was that I knew it was true all along. I agreed but was glad that I was able to receive that witness from the spirit of the Lord to confirm it to me. The Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a prophet on the Earth today to lead and guide us just as there was in the Bible, it all makes sense. I was converted logically before I was ever converted spiritually because there must be consistency in my study of the gospel or there is no way that I would believe it. I know that my Savior lives. Everyday I live is a gift from my Father above and I have to use and treat it as such. I try to always live as an example to others and to learn from everyone I meet. We are all brothers and sisters fighting a war, a war against sin, a war against temptation, a war against all that is unholy and would drive the spirit away because we are trying to return to our Father in Heaven. I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that I can be forgiven of my mistakes. There is not a day that goes by that I don't do something wrong, but to know that I can be cleansed from those and to have that burden lifted from off my back is one of sweetest feelings in this life.

How I live my faith

I have just moved back home to the ward (congregation) that I grew up in. There are a few familiar faces and it is always good to see them. We have only been there for two weeks now and my wife and I have been asked to speak in our worship services. She has also been asked to play the piano in one of the classes. There is never a dull moment, there is so much to do in building the Kingdom of God on the Earth. I love to serve and am grateful for all that I get to do to help my brothers and sisters throughout the world.
