Hi I'm Ellie Warren

I'm a friend, a learner, an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My aim is to make others' lives better and happier, and to share the light and hope of Christ. I seek to do this in both my private and professional lives. I am a graduate student, training for a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology. I am also a nationally certified personal trainer. I am passionate about and fascinated with these physical bodies that Heavenly Father has blessed us, His children, with. I have tasted the joy that comes with being a good steward of this "tabernacle of clay" (see Moroni 9:6), and seek to help others experience the same! I love connecting gospel truths to truths I learn in school and in my profession. As Elder Russell M. Nelson, one of today's twelve apostles, said, "Truth is truth! ....Whether truth emerges from a scientific laboratory or through revelation, all truth emanates from God." Amen! It brings me such joy when I can connect these truths, and thereby increase mine and others' understanding. I also enjoy art (especially drawing), yoga, music, learning, hiking, swing sets, bubble gum, cats, shopping, and service to others. I cherish my family relationships, and love to serve and spend time with my parents, siblings, cousins, and grandparents. They are my best friends! I know we can live together forever. Above all, I love Jesus Christ with my entire being. His incredible love completely defines and me, and through faith and repentance, I am changed every day by the everlasting grace of His atonement!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to good, humble parents who had always been active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They raised me in the gospel, taught me right from wrong, brought me to church meetings and activities, and most importantly, set good examples of loving, faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Though I am so grateful for my wonderful parents, I do not accredit my membership to them. I am a Mormon because I have discovered for myself that Jesus is the Christ, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His restored church on the earth today. As I’ve studied and pondered the writings of prophets (including the Bible and Book of Mormon); fervently sought God through sincere, daily prayer; and kept His commandments, I have time and time again felt the beautiful witness of the Holy Ghost testifying the truth of this gospel. My testimony has grown gradually over the years—“line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little” (2 Nephi 28:30)—and has been an incredible source of joy, hope, and peace in my life. Our Heavenly Father wants to bless you with joy, hope, and peace as well. If you read the Book of Mormon and sincerely pray about it, God will “manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost” (Moroni 10:3-5).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in church meetings and activities, praying and studying the scriptures daily, and striving my best every day to serve God and those around me. I pray daily for opportunities to help answer another's prayer; as I've followed the promptings of the Spirit, I am always blessed with such opportunities!
