Hi I'm Scott

I'm a father, a software engineer, a scouter, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two (soon to be three!) of the most beautiful children in the world. Married to my best friend. I am a software engineer. I have a B.S. in Computer Science and am currently working to complete a Masters in Software Engineering. I'm actively involved in Boy Scouts, previously as a Scoutmaster and now as a Scout Committee member.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings more joy to my life. I have a greater measure of happiness when I follow the commandments. The Book of Mormon has given me great insights into my life, my role as a father and husband, and my responsibilities in the community. The scriptures bring me peace and help me to focus on others instead of myself. The opportunity to serve others in the Church is a great benefit and has brought me happiness and strengthened friendships.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching a Seminary class for high school students each school day. I enjoy studying the scriptures with them and being uplifted by their examples. I am involved with the Boy Scouts of America. I previously served as a Scoutmaster and am now on the unit committee. I enjoy the opportunity to help young men grow and develop. Many leaders had an influence on me as a teenager, and I am glad that I can give back as an adult.
