Hi I'm William

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a small family, it's just my mom, sister, and I. I'm going to college right now, but I'm not exactly sure what I want to be when I grow up. I'm hoping to join the military in the next few months and serve my country. When I'm not working or going to school, I like to spend time with my friends, read some books, and play games. All in all, I think that I'm a pretty normal guy.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church with my family in early 2000. We were looking for something more in our lives. We saw the wonderful commercials from the church about the importance of family. I remember them to this day, they always ended with "family, isn't it about time? From the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." That was an important message for us. We visited the church to find out when the meetings were. We were brought inside to meet the missionaries. Everyone was so excited to see us there. The sister missionaries came by that afternoon right after church to begin teaching us. They came every night and taught us the glorious restored truths. Everything they taught us, we knew to be true. After less than 2 weeks of lessons, I was baptized with my aunt. A month and a half later, my mom was baptized. She had to stop drinking coffee, tea, and smoking. To this day, she is still clean from all of those harmful addictions! I know that the Lord knows and loves each one of us as His children. He wants us to be happy. The way to be happy in this life is to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have seen it work in my life and the lives of those I love, and I know it will work in your life also!

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways I've been able to live my faith is serving a mission. I left my family, friends, and home to go to Utah for 2 years. During this time, I taught others about the restored gospel. I, myself, was taught by missionaries when I joined the Church. I was able to do the same thing for other people. It is difficult to not have very much contact with your family for 2 years, but I (and my family) knew that it was the right thing to do. It is the single greatest thing I've ever done in my life! Right now, I direct the choir in our church. It is so much fun to be able to get together with people who have the same beliefs as you and sing praises to Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ!
