Hi I'm Ipo

I'm LDS aka Mormon.

About Me

I am full Tongan I was born in Hawaii, raised in California and was lucky enough to attend high school at Liahona High School, Tongatapu Tonga. I married the love of my Life James who is Samoan Palangi but totally looks miko. (Love you babe) A question was asked in Sunday School "What is one of the greatest moment in your life?" My husband and I looked to each other quietly and silently we knew we had the same answer in our minds, the day we were sealed for all time and eternity. I knew marriage would be great but I never knew it could be this good. Though no children yet we have been happily married and life is better every year. We had the opportunity to fall in love with our niece who has become our daughter spiritually and whenever we can steal her away on our days off. Though my husband and I have experienced joy with one another there is no greater joy than having the presence of a child in our home. Whether in this life or the next we joyfully and patiently await the addition of children.

Why I am a Mormon

Though raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints I have slowly and truly become converted to the Lords True Gospel. Through good examples and an earnest desire to know my Savior I am Mormon for the soul fact that I know I am of worth to my Heavenly Father and that I am a unique daughter to him. I know he loves me from his constant comfort I've felt throughout my life. I am not alone he has never left me comfortless. I can call on him through prayer and he answers me through a still small voice which gives me the feelings of joy, peace and love. His love I feel for me is constant and he is there for me like he is for everyone else. His love is my witness that he lives and has a Plan for us after this life. We are all here to prepare to return to him. In this life he has countless blessings he wants us to partake in FREELY. For these reasons and others Jesus Christ HAS restored his Gospel like those spoken of in the Bible, through the early Prophet Joseph Smith and today like in his day we have a living Prophet together with his Apostles who seek only to declare the will of GOD and not the will of man.

How I live my faith

One day at a Time. One mistake after another. I may not always pray or read my scriptures daily but I can honestly say not a day goes by that I don't recognize the Lord in my Life. I recognize his presence in my life through plants, animals, his spirit of comfort, my niece, my husband and other family members. The list is endless of his presence in everyday life. I am not perfect but I live that I may feel his constant spirt of peace, comfort and love. I have a yearly goal where I try to be better than I was the year before and I can do that by serving the Lord by helping others because in return I strengthen my relationship him.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We love all regardless of race, religion or sexual preference. The church does not condone any unkind acts or words towards those who choose to have same-sex relations. Homosexuality and same-sex marriage is important to the church because we believe that it is a another struggle or trial that people must overcome in order to return to live with God. God has ordained marriage to only be between a man and a woman and he cannot go back on his word and for this reason we must uphold his law. Homosexuality is a crucial yet very delicate subject that affects current members of the church and those who are not. Regardless of our struggles God loves each of us just the same, but we must all abide by his laws before the laws of men. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

This life is for us to prepare to meet God. We cannot enter his presence unclean so he sent us a way to be clean spiritually. God sent his Son to die for our sins and for our sorrows that is the Atonement. Jesus Christ becomes our Savior through the power of repentance, the process that allows you and I to be cleansed of our sin so we can be in the presence of our Father in Heaven. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself giving us the opportunity to be cleansed and to also be able to enjoy other gifts God has for us so that we can live with them forever bringing us endless joy and peace for ourselves and our extended loved ones who choose to follow them as well.
