Hi I'm Tom Kerr

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer, having served my country for 20 years; China Service, Korean Service, Vietnam Service. I am a Grandpa and Great Grandpa and husband. I have a beautiful wife "Lois" who has shared many years and countries with me as we have traveled around the world. I love BYU Sports where I graduated from Brigham Young University in the 1970's.

Why I am a Mormon

I spent many years in and around the LDS church, having married in March of 1954 my wife Lois who was a member. In my conversion story are all of the elements of the gospel; family love, faithful hometeachers, dedicated missionaries, a Bishop who went the extra mile, God the father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and then and now a willingness on my part to open my heart to the truth and be willing to walk by faith. My life has from February 5, 1966 till now been one of growth and the increased ability to live as close as possible to the savior.

How I live my faith

I assist and help in whatever way I am asked by the leaders of my ward. I have been blessed since my baptism in 1966 to be surrounded by wonderful men and women in the church who have helped and guided me on my journey back to my Heavenly Father.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Tom Kerr
I believe that death need not be the end our relationships with loved ones and friends. What a wonderful thing it is to know that we have been sealed together in a holy temple as a family and that this earth life is not an end to our time together. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Tom Kerr
All you have to do is look around the world whereever there is a disaster and see that in many cases the church is the first one to arrive with help for those who have been affected. Show more Show less
