Hi I'm JoyEllen

I'm a Mrs., a Mommy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

With four young, beautiful, talented daughters and new baby boy, I stay moving from before sun up and long past sun down. I have never been so busy in my life. But these are joyous years full of great blessings. Two daughters are in school and the others are home with me. Finding balance with all of my responsibilities and meeting the needs of our growing family is a daily challenge, but I truly have the best career ever! It is a calling I hold sacred.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to wonderful parents who daily shared their faith in Christ and their desires for me and my siblings to develop our own faith. We have always been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and it has always been a source of joy, peace, and light in my life. It is a constant. As I live the principles of the gospel I feel that I draw nearer to the Savior. Truly his commandments and precepts are a protection and blessing. I cannot imagine my life with our the fullness that comes from the living well provided only through Christ's restored gospel.

How I live my faith

Our lives are the symbol of our faith. I feel the greatest way to live my faith is in creating an environment where my children will receive a foundation in Jesus Christ and be nurtured in truth. Through daily prayer and scripture we endeavor to be strengthened in desires to follow in the example of our Savior. Currently I am teaching the Old Testament to the young single adults and I am amazed at the love of the Lord in giving his word to his children in all ages of time. Studying, teaching, and applying the word of God guides my steps and choices to live in a way that will please the Lord and bring me joy.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

JoyEllen
Absolutely! Christ's gospel is for all the people of the earth, spanning all of space and time. God sent Moses and other prophets because he loved his children and did not want them to wander blindly through the wilderness of life. And it is my testimony that God loves his children today...US! Thus, likewise, he has sent a guide to be a voice of truth and direction amidst the turmoil of so many voices calling at us from the world. Joseph Smith was the Lord's servant in restoring the fullness of Christ's gospel and today Thomas S. Monson carries that same mantle and holy calling as mouthpiece of the Lord. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

JoyEllen
Faith is nothing unless it is centered in Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrafice. He is the only source of salvation. Faith in Christ moves us to action, stirs us to rise above the baseness of the world and to walk in his paths. Show more Show less
