Hi I'm Jon

Im a little bit of everything and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I have been serving as a missionary for the last 18 months of my life. I did three years off college before my service. I have studied Engineering, but I am not to sure if that is what I want to persue for the rest of my life. I have thought about going to Med School. I also have considered mixing the two fields and do Biomedical Engineering. Time will tell. I love to be outside and be active. I love fishing and hunting. I love sports. Mainly basketball and soccer. I love music. I also love learning new things and meeting new people. I have a big family and I love them.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I was raised in the church but there is a day when everyone has to really figure out for themselves if the Church is true or if its not. I thankfully passed that moment in my life. I know that God is real for myself. I have had many spiritual experiences to lead me to that conclusion. I know that God answers prayers. I love the fact that we are often told to pray and ask God if the message being shared is true. That way we know that it is from God and not from just anther man. I know many things to be true by the power of prayer. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it, studied it, searched its history and found that it would be ridicoulous not to believe it was true. It is so marvellous. No ordinary man could write that book or make up that book; unless he was truely inspired and recieved revelation from God. I love the fact that there is the proof of God that we can hold in our hands today. Its tangible. Its real. It changed my life for the better. That is why I am a Mormon! We just got more...

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I am currently a full time missionary. My service that I do for two years is to help others learn about God and build a relationship with God. I live my faith by praying to God daily for help and by giving him thanks for all that I have. I read the scriptures daily and strive to apply them in my life. They really have changed my life and helped me overcome things in my life. They are the comfort in the times of distress. I live my faith by walking by faith.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

I was wondering the same thing... It would be interesting to hear why someone would say that after visiting the church and actually knowing the doctrine that is truely taught and implemented in our lives. Show more Show less
