Hi I'm Austin

I grew up in New Mexico, I love cars and Four wheelers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in New Mexico, I recently returned from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pennsylvania, I come from a large family, I was born the youngest of 6 boys, my mother passed away from cancer about a month after my first birthday, my father re-married a little over a year later, my step-mom has a daughter and three sons, the oldest of her sons passed away at the age of 30 in October of 2009. when I am finished with my mission I am going to go to college to become an Automotive Technician. I love Snowboarding, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, playing video games, being outside, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the best way I know of to show my love for my Savior Jesus Christ, and I know that this is His church, and it is the only thing that kept me grounded when I was a teenager dealing with the loss of my mother, and when I lost my step-brother, it was this church that kept me from doubting God. This church means the world to me, I can't even begin to describe how much it has helped me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time, I do my best to do the things that Christ Himself would do if He were here, caring for all of God's children, and being kind to others even when they are unkind to you. As a missionary I get to meet all sorts of people, some are kind some are not, but I do the best I can to treat them the way Christ would, because He loves them so I should as well.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No. Missionary service is completely voluntary and paid for by the missionaries themselves, in the case of someone who can't pay for their own mission there is what is called the missionary fund which is charitable contributions by members of the church and is used strictly to support the missionaries. The tithing of church members is not used for this purpose. Show more Show less
