Hi I'm Shane

I am a father, husband, veteran, photographer, sports card collector and I am a Mormon

About Me

I'm a Mormon. I was baptized at age 10, and grew up in the Hill Cumorah stake. I am a retired disabled veteran. I was an Army Military Police Dog Handler. I am a father that didn't get to spend as much time with my children as I would have liked too. I was either deployed or on secret service missions. I was divorced after my retirement, and have remarried the most wonderful woman that I could ever have imagined. She has helped me through my trials and has been a wonderful example to me. I love her soo much.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be Mormon after I was already a member. I know that sounds weird, but I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints when I was 10. I really didn't become active in the church until shortly after my divorce. I had a lot of soul searching, and I knew that Heavenly Father was the only comforter that could ease the pain, and give me a direction to go when I was lost.

How I live my faith

a href="http://mormon.org/me/32QP-eng/"img src="http://mormon.org/bc/assets/images/widget/profile-button/god-knows-us.png" alt="I'm a Mormon."//aI am currently a ward missionary, I work with the missionaries, helping to teach people whom are interested in hearing about heavenly father's plan. A plan that helps all to return to our heavenly fathers presence when we leave this earth.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Shane
No, Not all Mormons are required, I did not serve a mission, however I did prepare to to do so. I even had my mouth wired shut for 6 weeks, due to a short bite. My father had a severe heart attack and in my prayers I realized that I needed to be at home to take care of my father. Show more Show less
