Hi I'm Cassie

I'm a SAHM of three in CT.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom. I have 2 sons and 1 daughter. We have 2 dogs that are part of our family as well. I enjoy singing, quilting, and crafting.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because the doctrine of the church was closer to what I already believed than any other religious group. Some of the things that I knew to be true were that God is a loving Father, that our families can be eternal, and that EVERYONE will be given the chance to return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, not just those who lived in a certain time or place where they were fortunate enough to be exposed to the gospel.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to those around me. I try to serve others in any capacity I can. I strive to fulfill whatever calling (assignment in the church) that I have.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Cassie
We absolutely believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. What does that mean? Well, since the Bible was not originally written in English many important things were not translated in a way that preserved the true meaning of what the Lord was trying to tell us. We solely use the King James version of the Bible because it is the closest to the original text that came from the Lord. So in answer to if we regard the Bible as Holy Scripture, the answer is YES absolutely!! Show more Show less
