Hi I'm Wesley

I grew up in the Church and as an adult have always been active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from High School in 1960 then joined the Air Force. I was in the Air Force for almost 8 years. My first assignment was in England where I met my future wife. We were married in the London Temple. When I got out of the Air Force I worked for 2 or 3 companies but in 1968 I went to work for the Airlines and retired in 2003. We have been married for 48 years, have 4 children (2 daughters and 2 sons) and 6 grandchildren (5 granddaughters and 1 grandson). My hobbies are computers, music, Tae Kwan Do and tennis. We have lived in England, Saudi Arabia, Arizona and Georgia and have enjoyed many wonderful experiences in all those places.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, was baptized when I was 8 years old. I think I actually got my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel when I was around 14 years old. At that time I decided to read the Book of Mormon for myself and to pray about it and that was when I knew, through the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon was true and if the Book of Mormon was true then I knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the experiences he had were real and all that being true, I knew the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. That testimony has stayed with me all of my life and becomes stronger the more I learn and the more I try to live my life in accordance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel has brought great joy to my life and the lives of all of our family, for which I am eternally grateful.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings (responsibilities) in the Church and have enjoyed them all and have learned much from each one. That is the great thing about callings, the Lord doesn't necessarily call us to positions because of our capabilities but many times we are called to serve so that we may learn new skills and gain new experiences and in the process be of service to others. It is a great system...
