Hi I'm Jimmy

I'm a Mormon. and a desciple of Christ

About Me

I am James, I grew up in Utah and in the church. Now at this time I am serving the Lord by serving a full time mission in the state of pennsilvania. I love to play guitar, and I am good at wrighting music. Maybe if I was good at playing infront of other people I could be the next Eric Clapton. I love drawing and just loose my self when I draw. I never took any classes in high school, but I did take a few classes in collage I hope to study art when I come home from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply cause I have a testimony. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testiment of Jesus Christ. I alway draw nearer to God as I read it. This testimony and faith I have has given me the strength do do what I need to do to come closer to God and Jesus Christ. No man can disprove the Book of Mormon unless he disregards history or gives half truths and a lie. I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, the Book of Mormon is evidence of it. and like Joseph Smith I would die for it but more importanly I live for it. I know that the Truth has been Restored, and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I devote all my time and attention to the Lord now that I am a missionary. like every other missionary we don't get paid for doing what the Lord expects of us. I have the wonderfull oportunity in my life to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with every soul that I see. This has brought me such great joy, and it has brought Joy into the lifes of people that I was able to teach.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Jimmy
Well we babtize every body who comes into the church cause babtizim is a comandment, it has been clearly stated in the Bible and Book of Mormon is the only way to enter the kingdom of Heaven. we are also to be like Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ was baptized by one holding the athority to act in God's name. We can compair the Kingdom of Heaven to a kitchen, the rules of the kitchen is that you have to wash your hands. Jesus Christ already had clean hands but the rules are you have to wash your hands. Thus Jesus was Baptized, and we are unclean and must follow the example of Jesus and be Baptized by one who has the athority to act in God's name. Show more Show less
