Hi I'm Alex

I'm a Mormon, a Hunter and a Disciple of Jesus Christ! I have celiac and have lived gluten free for almost 4 years!

About Me

I am serving a mission right now for the church on the East Coast. The most important thing to me is my family! Everything I do is because of them or with them! I love to paintball, snowboard, wakeboard, kneeboard, hunt, going 4-wheeling, riding dirt bikes/ ATV's and playing video games. I grew up on a small farm on six acres which included a paintball course. My favorite subject is Math. My favorite games include: Age of Empires, Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War and Mario. I also love ice cream! My plans in life are to major in Mathematics. I am not sure what I am going to be yet but my choices right now are a high school math teacher, a programmer, or possibly a seminary teacher. I am also looking into Cryptonalysis or cracking codes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was raised a Mormon. I continue to believe and attend because I know it is true! I love the values and standards that truly have made me happier. I came to know this church is true by living its teachings, sincerely seeking, and by asking my father in heaven if the things I was taught are from him. I read the Book of Mormon, prayed and received my answer. It wasn't some miraculous vision or anything of that sort. I simply felt comforted and knew the things I have been taught are true. More than anything else, it just made sense. Why wouldn't God send another prophet just like old times? He would and has!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a mission. I have sacrificed two years of my life to share this wonderful message with all whom I come in contact with. I have always been an active member attending church every week. I also live my faith by being an example to my friends and family. Staying strong to my values and helping them do the same.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, we believe we are all brothers and sisters and that we should help all who are in need. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is a hope for things which are not seen which are true. Faith leads us to act on things which we believe in. Faith is what everything starts out with. If we dont have faith we won't go far! Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

This website is a great place to start. The best way to learn more however, is to attend a Mormon church service and to meet with Mormon missionaries. Both of which can be located through this site. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Mormon missionaries save up money before they serve and then make monthly payments. Family members and other church members also contribute if they feel the desire. The funds are sent to the church headquarters in Salt Lake City and are then distributed to the missionaries depending on where they are and how much the cost of living is in that area.
