Hi I'm Lee

I am retired, author, a heart transplant recipient, serving a senior mission, 2nd marriage, dad and new-dad .

About Me

I have experienced both a Spiritual and a Physical Mighty Change of Heart. I have written a book about my decision to have a heart transplant. I was born and raised in the church, a seminary graduate, served a mission to Southern California when I was 19-21 years old. I had to find out for myself if what I was teaching was really true before I could try to teach others about our Savior Jesus Christ and the blessing of the atonement. My search was to find out who had the authority from God to preach, teach and baptize.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been happily married for 45 years, 40 to my first wife and 5 to my present wife. First wife died of cervical cancer, but we had 3 children and 10 grandchildren. Married second spouse 5 years ago, became new-daddy to 7 children and 17 more grandchildren, bring ‘em on. Received a transplanted heart 9 years ago and now appreciate every minute of life as a gift from heaven. Participate in Transplant Olympics games. Later in life after retirement, I have worked as a temple worker and have had many sacred experiences while working there. Currently, I am serving an 18 month Senior Couple mission in eastern Georgia. How I love the freedoms we have in this wonderful country. God Bless our country and our freedom of worship! This gives me pupose for doing all of these things, because with the plan of happiness it does have meaning.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of continuing to serve even after retirement, many health problems, because the best example is a life well lived. It is better to wear out than to rust out.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will answer the three most important questions we all have about life. Where did I come from, Why am I here and Where am I going after death! They will teach about the atonement of Jesus Christ and all He went thru to save us from our sins and again live in God's presense. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

I wrote my transplant story of my decision to have a heart transplant and called it “Do you Know Who You Are?”, because I wanted to help others who might be facing similar challenges in life.Sometimes our faith in God and our Savior is all we have left to hold onto. My book is available at book stores. What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Are you serious, do you really believe there is a plan for our lives and that God really cares and to answer that question there certainly is life after death, otherwise what is the purpose? Show more Show less
