Hi I'm Brett Phillips

I grew up in a little town in Idaho and love to hunt, fish and play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play all types of sports Basketball, Baseball, Soccer you name it. I'm one of those types of people that I'll try almost anything at least once. In High School I was on the Debate team and also love to get greasy under the hood of a car. Currently in college and love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because of many things but I feel one of the largest reasons is that I had a time in my life where I wasn't so happy. I had great examples of friends and some family that were so happy and I always wanted to feel like they did. I went to work trying to find out what gave them this great happiness. I learned that it was because they were members of the Church and they strived to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ. As I started to do the same a spirit of love and joy entered into my heart and I knew that the Church was true. I now enjoy the blessings of the church and I'm happy.

How I live my faith

I find it hard some times to live the faith but with consistent effort things seem to work out. The Lord blesses me so much for the things I'm able to participate in. I find it a great blessing to be able to even serve in the church and be a part of the work of the Lord. I've always received joy as I've tryed to help others and share some of the things I've come to love so much.

What is the priesthood?

Brett Phillips
The Priesthood is simply the Power of God given to man to do great things. Moses in the Old Testiment had the Priesthood. By this power he parted the Red Sea. Peter James and John had the Priesthood. By the Priesthood power that was given to them they were able to heal the sick and preform other miricles. God is a God of order and therefore he gives righteous men who want to follow him the Priesthood not to boast in themselves but to serve and help others. Show more Show less
