Hi I'm Anna

I`m a small town girl. I play rugby. I served a mission in Oakland California. I love fireworks! And I`m a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I love my family. There is never a dull moment in a house of 12, even if all of us are not there at the same time. My parents have the biggest hearts and have spent many years of their lives giving all that they can for children who need good families like myself. I am a athlete. I ran track and field. In college I started a Rugby Team in Utah. I later played for fun where ever I went when I could find a team. I love to participate in any kind of physical activity. I love rock climbing, repelling, snow activities, running, dancing, and other active activities. I have a passion for health and fitness. I love serving and doing leadership! I love to give! I love service! I love my education! I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

A wise man once said, “When you have come to the edge Of all light that you know And are about to drop off into the darkness Of the unknown, Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or You will be taught to fly”...That is what being a Mormon has done for me. It provides me a solid foundation. And when I fall, no matter the distance, somehow I come back in sweet free flight. I never had to question if the church was true or not. I was baptized when I was eight with my cousin on the same day. I was never perfect. Who is? I was challenged, made mistakes, selfish at times, insecure, and sometimes hard to handle. But, I always knew that if there was something worth living for-it was my faith. I have seen the miracle and blessings of forgiveness. I have watched the hearts of the bitter be changed as they embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have felt the tender mercies of my Father in Heaven as he guided me even in my darkest hours, to a better place. I have witnessed the spirit work to shape and mold me-constantly reminding me that despite what the world thinks, I am better then I think I am. I have had the blessings in my life occur when I have listened to the words of our prophet and leaders of the church. I have read the scriptures and witnessed the mighty change of heart. I know my Savior and I recognize that he is everything good. I long to be with my family forever! I have felt the joy and peace that the temple brings. I have struggled, and found sunshine. I never doubted because I love that there is at the end of it a greater plan for me then I have for myself. If what I believe turns out to be a hoax in the end. Well, it`s the greatest hoax that was ever created! And many lives, including my own, have changed for the better because of it!

How I live my faith

I love to serve. That is the wonderful thing about the LDS religion. It is constantly giving! When I loose myself in the work for others, I forget about my own trials and hardships. Plus, there is a sweet connection of spirits when you work along side the good and dedicated members of the church. I love the sweet simple acts of service that are given for all people member and nonmembers alike. No one ever asks for recognition. Every Act Of Goodness Receives it`s Own Reward! I love that! I also love the power of prayer and scripture study. I enjoy going to classes given by members of the church to not only help us better understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, but also better understand our purpose here on this earth. I love attending religious studies such as institute. I honestly believe your religion shouldn`t be like a dress you put on only when it`s Sunday. It should be a daily habit, like brushing your teeth and eating breakfast. It is essential to LIVE your faith in order to achieve optimal "spiritual" health. I would hope that my religion was a part of my character. I try and be the best I can be and pray that people see the blessings of the gospel from my example.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Anna
Serving a mission has really helped bring me closer to Christ and my Heavenly Father. We spend so much time on our knees praying to help all of God's children. There is nothing so great as the worth of souls. The gospel truly changes lives! When a missionary comes they come with the message of the Restoration. They come with a invitation to follow the example of Jesus Christ, to live his gospel, and to receive the blessings of exaltation. As a missionary I have been so blessed to see the gospel of Jesus Christ change individual lives, and strengthen homes and families. As missionaries we help bring souls to Christ and we do it through the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
