Hi I'm Camille

I'm just an everyday girl doing an every day job that is thankful everyday that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work at a Harbor in California and have a beautiful ocean view, and I vacation in the mountains of Utah every year. I feel I have the best of both worlds, I work on the beach, and vacation in the beautiful mountains. I love to ride quads on the mountain roads, walk on the beach during my lunch hour, I like to sew, quilt, and do crafts. I'm an avid reader and love to spend time with my family and friends. I'm also a fanatic baker. I love to make cookies, breads, casseroles, all kinds of warm homemade meals that make my home smell good, and enables me to share goodies with others. This last year I became a runner. I started out slow, and now run 3 miles every morning. It makes me feel fabulous and I'm finding out how many beautiful mornings there really are!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the church in my 20's. I love being a Mormon. I love having a structured life and way of learning more of the gospel that makes sense to me. I love the consistency of our gospel practices and that there are ALWAYS messages given especially for me. I appreciate the influence the church has had in my life and feel truly blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I believe in Jesus Christ, that He is my Savior, that he died for me and my sins. That we have a loving Father in Heaven that sacrificed his only begotten son to enable us to have a way back to Him and eternity. I feel every day the influence of His loving presence in my life.

How I live my faith

I love attending church and try diligently to share that love of being there with others. I love serving in the church, with the other Sisters, creating uplifting meetings that help us learn how to be better spiritually and temporally. I love singing in the choir, being a part of sharing my love of music with others. I love having opportunities to learn more about the scriptures and to gain insight from others' perspectives.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Camille
No, its a service we perform if we can, and if we have a desire to do so. But, as in all things, we have a choice to serve in all capacities and we choose for ourselves what service for the church we can do. Most of us however, would willingly make the sacrifice to serve a mission if we can do so, as the blessings we receive by this service far outweigh the sacrifices made. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Camille
Its enlightening. It enables me to structure my scripture reading, to gain insight into the scriptures that I don't think I would get on my own. I love being able to have gospel questions answered from our church leaders, or on-line, or from other members. I also feel that the church helps us grow, challenges us to be better than we are on our own...and I love the confidence and courage it instills in me. Show more Show less
