Hi I'm Brady

I'm a Husband, a Dad, a Business Enthusiast, & I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am married and have three beautiful children. I have undergraduate degrees in Finance and Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. I enjoy golfing, exercising, learning new things, and spending time with my family. I work in Business Development and enjoy my work. I love interacting with others and getting opportunities to help others. I love my children and recognize the huge responsibility I have to be a provider to them in many ways. As a husband, I understand the stress that my wife can endure as she is a stay at home mom and strive to be a team player in our household duties and needs. As a working professional, there are very few aspects of business that I don't love. I love evaluating processes, analyzing data, identifying solutions, and making improvements. As a person, I am a child of God who has felt his love and affection on numerous occasions and I am trying to be better each and every day. I strongly believe that we set our own limits and that through hard work, dedication, inspiration, and God's help, we can accomplish more than we ever thought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that we need living prophets upon the earth, and because the Book of Mormon is additional scripture. As a teenager, I was challenged to read the book and find out for myself if it was true. I wasn't sure that I really expected anything to happen, but I accepted his request. That evening as I sat down to watch some TV; I remembered that I had agreed to read the Book of Mormon for an hour. I picked up the book, sat at the dining room table, and begin reading. After reading for some time, I noticed that I was kind of thirsty and paused reading to get a drink of water. As I glanced at the clock on the wall, I noticed that I had been reading for over an hour and a half. I became intrigued by the prophetic counsel and history that was being related in the book. I was even more intrigued by the curious feelings that I felt as I read the book. After this experience, I continued to read every day for an hour or more until I finished reading the book. I then accepted the promise contained within the book and asked God if he would reveal to me personally if the book was true scripture. Words cannot describe nor explain the overwhelming feelings of joy that came over me as God spoke to my spirit and revealed that the Book of Mormon is indeed his word, that Jesus Christ is his son and my Savior, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is his church. I instantly had desires to share this new found glory with all that I could. I chose to serve a two year mission and was fortunate enough to live in the Dominican Republic for two years where I was able to teach others about Jesus Christ and his gospel every day. I encourage anyone to accept the challenge of finding out for themselves. This is a marvelous opportunity to have a one-on-one revelatory experience with God. He hears and answers prayers and will provide anyone with the answer they need.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a better person, a more Christ-like person, each day. Christ is our perfect example and his love has healing power beyond measure. I feel that we could spend a lifetime judging others and trying to fix everyone else's problems or weaknesses, but our time and energy is much better spent trying to fix ourselves. Through serving others, we can learn to love the person and overlook their weaknesses or problems and truly see them as God does. That is why I try to live my faith each day by being less judgmental and more loving. I will be the first to recognize that I have lots to improve on, but the great part is that I am in the process, or journey, of becoming who my Father in Heaven would have me be. Things that I have found that help me in this process include regular prayer and scripture study; regular church attendance and giving service. I have noticed how much easier it is to help others and grow personally when your heart is open to being taught from God. I live my faith by being a husband that can be relied on. By being a teammate and a companion for my beautiful wife. I work diligently to treat my wife with the love and respect that I know she deserves as a special daughter of God. In the end, I live my faith by the example I set to my children and to those around me. They know my standards, my level of integrity, and what I consider my most precious treasures to be. I know that my words don't mean nearly as much as my actions.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Similar to prophets of ancient times, he was a man who despite his weaknesses and inadequacies, was chosen by God to perform a special work here upon the earth to help our Heavenly Father accomplish his work. He played a particularly special role in helping God restore many truths, principals, and saving ordinances that had been lost since Jesus Christ walked the earth. He was a father and a husband. He was a leader and was a servant. He was a man of great faith, who unfortunately was murdered by an angry mob who in my opinion misunderstood him and his teachings. I know that he was a prophet, called of God, and that one of his many assignments was to translate the ancient record now known as the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
