Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a mother, a teacher, and a singer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Florida as the oldest of 12 children. I met my husband while attending Brigham Young University where I studied music. We now have 7 children of our own and I keep very busy with them and all of their activities--soccer, lacrosse, piano, dance, tennis, scouts--all while making time to pursue my passions which are singing and theater. I also enjoy homeschooling my 11 year old, running, playing board games, and going to the movies. I love my life and often feel like the luckiest woman in the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. From a very young age, I knew that God loved me and knew me personally. Through my teenage years my testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel grew and I knew that Joseph Smith was a indeed a true prophet of God. I also grew to love the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible. I continue to live strong in my faith because I believe it is the path that leads to all happiness in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my family and am active in our Sunday School and women's organization called Relief Society. I also currently serve as the music director for our children's organization called Primary. Through prayer, scripture study, and service, I practice and strengthen my faith daily.
