Hi I'm Kristen

I grew up in Bellevue, WA. I graduated in Food Science. I'm a mother of four beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love food. I completed my degree in Food Science. I love listening to good music, reading, and learning. I have a two sons, two daughters, and a wonderful husband who I love so much! They are my favorite hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is true. It defines my life in a way that no other thing ever has or will. I love my Savior and am so grateful for the sacrifice he made so that I could return to live with Him. I recently started to work betrayal trauma recovery, attending a 12 step group. Through this process, I have just started to understand how real a role Christ's atonement can take in my life. I cannot manage my life alone; only through Christ can I truly change myself. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true witness of Jesus Christ. When I read it, I can feel His love for me. Being a member of His church lights up my life, because it gives me direction, purpose and hope.

How I live my faith

I strive daily to connect with God, reach out to others, and show my love for my family. I feel a stronger connection to God when I include scriptures, General Conference talks and uplifting music in the media I choose. I am surrounded with family and friends who love me, but it can still be tempting to isolate myself. I am learning to reach out when faced with challenges. I am fortunate to be able to stay at home every day with my young children. I love talking with my older children and cuddling with my toddlers. I feel a great sense of purpose as I choose to develop my relationships with God, family and friends, and my husband and children.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our bodies are a gift from our Heavenly Father. It is our responsibility to take care of our bodies by eating healthily, exercising, and keeping our bodies free of drugs and tobacco, because the body houses our eternal spirit. By caring for our spirits' temporary residence, or temple, we show respect and gratitude to Heavenly Father for the wonderful gift and opportunity he has given us. Show more Show less
