Hi I'm Robynn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother. I have five children. I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to crosstitch and read lots and lots of books. I could sit and read a good book for hours and hours if I didn't have other responsiblities. I am also a movie buff. I love a good movie. I guess I like fiction so much because it allows me to use my imagination. If I had the time, I would really like to be in community plays. I was in drama in school and had a great time. Of all the things I enjoy, the one thing I enjoy the most is having fun with my husband and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ all of my life. It was not until I was an adult that I truly gained a full testimony of the gospel. I was 19 before I could honestly say that I knew it was true. I continue to follow the gospel because I feel happier when I am following it's teachings. The times in my life that I have not been obeying the commandments are the times that I have been the saddest and the most unhappy. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and each time I learn more and more about what it means in my own life. I know that the words spoken there are true. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ died for me and that He lives again. I know that there is a living prophet on the Earth today that guides us and that he truly speaks for our Heavenly Father. I know that if we follow his counsel, we will be happier. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that they spoke to him. I know that they gave him the power to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I know that I am a child of God and that He loves me and wants for me to return to live with Him. I know that through the sealing powers of the preisthood, families can be sealed together for eternity. I love the gospel and I feel so fortunate to have it my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Church every Sunday and teaching the class for women once a month. I learn so much as I study the lessons and pray for guidance. I also try to read my scriptures daily and have my own personal prayers. I am not perfect at it, but I find that when I am consistant, I feel better and my days go smoother. I am trying to teach my children through my example how to follow the teachings of the gospel. We have scripture study and prayer as a family every day. We also have a family night once a week where we learn and discuss principles of the gospel. I am also a visiting teacher. My visiting teaching partner and I go every month to our assigned sisters homes and visit with them and assess their needs. We also take them the monthly message from the Ensign (a magazine put out by the church every month with messages from church leaders and others. There is a specific visiting teaching message in each issue.) I love participating in the church. It helps me live my faith on a daily basis by attending church every week and recieving that spiritual feast.
