Hi I'm April

I am originally from a small town in Idaho. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home Mom who loves her job. I have a husband and together we have 7 wonderful children. I love to read, play puzzles, and spend time with my kids and grandkids. If the sun is out and there is a beach anywhere close, I'm there. I occasionally dabble in poetry. I've done only one real crazy thing in my life and that was jump out of an airplane, but I'm not dead yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church but was not always active. I believe that even people that have been members all of their lives are converted at one point or another. I always knew that the things that I had grown up being taught were true, but chose to ignore it for a long time in my life. It was much easier , so I thought. Once that I decided to go back to church and live my life in line with what I knew to be true, it was amazing how quickly I could see and feel a difference in my life. Knowing and understanding what Jesus Christ did for me and what it means for my Eternal salvation is sometimes hard to comprehend and yet amazing. Knowing that I can be with my husband and family forever, makes all the hardships in life worth it. I don't know where I would be or what kind of person I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Some people can't believe it when I tell them I go to church for 3 hours on Sunday. In all actuality it is the best most peaceful 3 hours of the week. Part of our job as women in the church is to help other women in or out of the church. We get to visit some of the women of the church in their homes once a month to see how they are doing and to see what their needs are. I have made lifelong friendships with many of these women, and seen many miracles occur in their lives. In the past I have had opportunities to work with the youth and the children of the church. I have to say they have been the best. I love to see when they finally understand something that I have been teaching them. I don't worry so much about our future when I see how wonderful these youth are.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons don not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God the Father and His Son ,Jesus Christ. We hold Joseph Smith in very high esteem, I am thankful for him and his courage. He was the man who the Lord chose to Restore the true gospel to the earth and he was persecuted for it. Show more Show less
