Hi I'm Joshua

I am a retail Manager and my friends call me Nate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and am a huge University of Kansas fan because, I am a KU alumni. However, I live in Missouri. I love to travel and have been to almost every state in the US. I am married to the most wonderful woman and we have 2 boys. My wife is having our third child and we hope it is a girl. The funniest part of it is, we have a girl name picked out, but we can't agree on a boy name in case it is a boy. The picture I chose shows me and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the Mormon Church. However, with everything in life we need to stand on our own two feet and make our own choices. The gospel of Jesus Christ lets me do that. I have the choice to do whatever I want, but it is in the gospel that I am truly happy. There have been times in my life where I did not make the wisest choices. Some of those choices lead down dark roads. I knew I made bad choices and I wished that I could erase those and start over. Jesus Christ did that for me. It was only in the gospel of Jesus Christ that I learned about the forgiveness of my sins and the happiness that comes from that forgiveness.

How I live my faith

In the church there is no paid clergy. That means every member has a job to do. I have done many jobs or we call them callings. My favorite is teaching the 12 year olds or the class for those people that are new converts or people investigating the church. I think the best way to describe how I live my faith are the choices I make each and everyday on what I put in my body and what comes out of my body. I try to eat healthy. I say my prayers and read my scriptures. I ask my self does this show or activity help me feel the Holy Ghost.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

When Jesus was on the earth he went to john the baptist to be baptized. John had the priesthood of Aaron or in other words the authority and power by God to baptize in his name. That power comes only from God to those that are found worthy to have that power. If that authority was not important then why did Christ look for john and not someone else. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Some of the questions I have always had are. If God gave the people in Moses day prophets why would he not give them to us. Does God change? Does he Love them more then us? Is life easier today so we don't need prophets? I know the answer to all of those questions are no. God does not change, He does not love people differently and life today is much more complex then in Moses's time. That is why more then ever we need a prophet on the earth today. God wants to help us return home to him that is why we need as much help as possible. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

A Christian is someone that believes in Jesus Christ as their personal savoir. I know that there is no other way to return back to my heavenly father then through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. If it were not for Jesus Christ I would be forced to live for eternity in my sins. Jesus Christ is my personal savior and I love him for what he has done for me. Show more Show less
