Hi I'm Nathan

I grew up in a little town in Alaska. I'm a competitive bagpipe player. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Remember that one TV show called the Partridge Family? Remember that one other TV show called the Brady Bunch? My family and I could be described as somewhere in the middle of those two. I am an 18 year old kid. I have been playing bagpipes competitively since the age of 8. My first car was a 1965 Volkswagen bus. My best friend is a golden retriever named Jake. I am the oldest of four kids. I grew up in Alaska. I am preparing to serve a two year mission for my church. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't know if I could ever come up with just one reason for being a member of this church. I can say without a doubt that being Mormon is the best part of my life. It's just so simple. Doing good things makes me happy. Doing bad things makes me unhappy. The church only encourages me to do good things, and to participate in good, wholesome, and uplifting activities. I have never experienced greater happiness or contentment as I have when I am living my life the way God instructs me through the teachings of the scriptures and prophets.

How I live my faith

It's pretty simple, really. I go to church every Sunday. I participate in many church activities throughout the week. I pay tithing. Life is good.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Only if they are crazy or something. Joseph smith was a great man and did a lot of good, but no. We do not worship him. Joseph Smith was a tool in God's hands used to restore the fullness of the gospel to the earth. Joseph Smith was (and is) a prophet commissioned by God just like other prophets. Such as Noah or Moses. Show more Show less
