Hi I'm Beth

I'm a wife, I'm a mother, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This is me! I’m a fairly simple girl… I know what I like and what I don’t. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.. just my husband, my baby, and chocolate. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and the Savior of the entire world. I know He has restored His true and living church through a prophet, Joseph Smith. I know these things to be true of my own accord, not because of anyone else’s testimony. I read and love the Book of Mormon, and find peace, comfort, and counsel in these inspired pages. God speaks to me through the words of the scriptures and through the Holy Ghost. The only way to achieve true happiness is by living the teachings of Jesus Christ and founding our families upon His word. I married my fantastic husband in December of 2008. We had our first son in March of 2010. What a blessing and a challenge he has been in our lives. I wouldn’t give him up for anything in this world. We're also anxiously awaiting the arrival of another little boy in October. I’m so grateful that as part of the Plan of Salvation, we have been sealed together through the power of the Holy Priesthood of God. My family will be eternal as long as we are obedient to the principles of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon as a child, but my family fell away from the church when I was still very young. I always remembered the teachings of the Church and felt that one day I would be led back there. One day, a friend of mine confessed that he felt very lost in his life, and he felt like there was something missing. He had left his previous church a few months earlier, and he knew that it was the Spirit of the Lord that he was seeking. I offered to share with him the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and he agreed to take the missionary discussions. As I sat with him during those lessons, the Spirit of the Lord penetrated my heart in such a way that there was no denying that the Church was true. I knew then that there was no other life for me. I could choose to reject the feelings of truth I was experiencing and live how ever I wanted, but I knew that I would never be happy. Since that day, I have tried with everything I have to live the Gospel, and I have never looked back.  I know that every good thing that has happened to me has been because I choose to follow Jesus Christ. I have been blessed in more ways then I can even recognize, and I know from where my happiness comes. I am a Mormon because I know this to be the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I am a Mormon, because this is where Christ has led me.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of happiness. I try to live that by bringing joy to people I meet. When I am at the grocery store, I smile, and chat with the cashier, trying to brighten long and gloomy shifts. I try to see the good in people, and to tell them when I find it. People's entire outlook can change when they receive a sincere compliment. I also volunteer in my church organizing meals and other service for families when they have a need. I have been on the receiving end of a warm meal when I was sick and unable to provide for my family, and I remember how grateful I felt to have been remembered and that someone cared enough to take the time out of their busy lives to make my day brighter. I hope that somehow, I can bring that same light and hope to others when they are in need.
