Hi I'm Francois

I was born in Belgium and move to Canada when I was 13yrs old. I have a disability. I'm blessed to be a Mormon.

About Me

Chemistry, electronics and gardening are my 3 favorite hobbies. I worked as an investigator for 13 yrs (mostly in retail). Then I worked in cell phone repairs and worked in Telecommunication as a Technical Support Representative. I'm a father of 5 children, my first born died shortly after birth. I have MS since 2002 and no longer able to work.

Why I am a Mormon

I found myself in a very dark place several years ago. MS progressed so fast that I underwent Chemo-Therapy to slow down the progression. I was weak and depressed. New symptom were showing up almost weekly. I felt abandoned by my Father in Haven. One day I prayed with words like "what else is going to happen to me". "I'm starting to feel like Job of the Old Testament". After uttering such words I felt like my Father in Haven said "Do you want to be like Job!" Not i those words but a strong impression. I then realized that I do have a lot of blessings, Family, Church with a gospel of Peace and Hope etc... Having MS changed me. I'm a more caring individual, sensitive to other people needs. I love being a Mormon. I know that God care enough for me that he gave me trials to help my character become more like the Savior. Our time here on earth is so short compared to the Eternities. God does answer prayers. Developing an intimate relationship with our Savior is the Key to an happier life. I 'm a proud Mormon

How I live my faith

I am a MS support coordinator in my community. I'm a Branch President (Minister). I looked for opportunity to serve in my community. I play violin (almost 2 yrs now) in a extended care facility. I love watching people sing to gospel music. I see how the spirit lift these patients and bring them lots of smiles and laughter.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?
