Hi I'm Blake

I'm a beach hammock sleeper, a fo-hawk sporter, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I live by the rockies of Canada, and enjoy a warm place to travel. There is no feeling like being out in the elements. I like to do crossfit because it challenges me like no other sport. I am a pre dental student and I hope to be able to practice in the United States. I am currently going to school in Idaho and am a sophomore there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I attended with my parents and through feeling the Holy Ghost, I expearienced proof or evidence that this was the place God wanted me to be. I happend to be lucky and was lead through a number of events that showed me this is the way and the only way to a fullness of truth, witch gave hope for lasting happiness.People came into my life at that time and helped me with learning about Jesus Christs. People in the church who cared for me and my welfare. People who were examples of Jesus. Nothing huge to the onlooker but it ment the world to me.

How I live my faith

Life is hard, do the easy things. Our God has gone to alot of work to give us a helper, a boost and that is the Book of Mormon. Read it and pray for instruction. Prayer is how I can talk to God personally, to recieve strenth and comfort to everything. The feelings of a answered prayer are kind of undescribable but it's how I know. Peace, Calmness, no-fear, warmth, virtue, Happyness meekness, are how I sum up those feelings. These are what I strive to experence everyday. Helping others who needs service. This is pure religion. It helps us forget about all our shortcommings and builds esteem and character.

What is being a Mormon like?

Blake
Its great, the church fulfills many of our wants and needs. The social is hudge for me, being around people who I can relate to. So many have set the example for me when I feel lost or overburdend with the heavyness of life. We learn from our peers, leaders, and the Spirit of God. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Blake
To be in tune with Gods way of communication aka the Holy Ghost. We worship God and his son. We also know the Holy Ghost is a large part of this.Lets say i go to golden coral because its the best. When I feel gross after that buffet, not eating a ballanced meal its hard to be spirtually alert. The scriptures teach us thats the same thing with alcohol and tobacco. We stay away from things that make us dependent on the substance and shew off the spirit. The bible compares our bodies to temples because ; A temple is a holy house of the Lord. Our bodies are ment to be the same. If we them we aren't taking care of a great gift and privledge God has given us. Show more Show less
