Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a southern boy, a high school Spanish teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college graduate with a Spanish education degree and I currently teach high school Spanish. I waited tables and helped manage a Japanese restaurant during college which gave me the opportunity to meet many people. I love being outdoors, dancing, listening to music and playing sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have always felt the need to continue to attend. I've always felt that the church was true. Watching my parents and learning from their testimony and example has also pushed me to live the standards of the church. I continue to attend church because I know that without the gospel in my life I would not be as happy as I am now nor would I have the desire to improve myself daily. Going to church helps keep me focused on what is important in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Institute classes where I learn more about the doctrines of the gospel. I also visit with members of my branch each month to share a spiritual message and to help strengthen them in the gospel. I also give thanks to my Heavenly Father daily for the love, patience and endless blessings that he gives to me freely.

What is being a Mormon like?

Daniel
Being a member of the Mormon Church is like being on a roller-coaster ride. There are times in my life that are great where everything is amazing and other times that are so difficult that I don't think I'll be able to escape. No matter what type of situation I find myself in though I can be sure that it is for a reason. Being a member of the Mormon Church gives me strength and a positive attitude to face any type of situation knowing that there is something to be learned from it. It's the greatest blessing in my life and the surest foundation that I could have. I know that God loves me that he allows me to go through these trials because I can improve myself through them and become more like him because of those trials.   Show more Show less
