Hi I'm Sean Sundwall

I'm a runner. I'm a small business owner. I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of four beautiful, wonderful children and married to the most patient, charitable person I know. These five people are what make bad days good and good days better. They are my world even though I am not always good about letting them know that. I recently left a career of 15 years in marketing and public relations to start my own business as an insurance agent. While the uncertainty of having my own business is sometimes scary, I have loved the opportunity it has given me to talk with other people and help them protect the things that are most important to them. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have the privilege of calling Washington State home. One of the ways I enjoy the beauty of my surroundings is by running. I love to run. There is a great peace that comes when I am running through the streets and trails of my town...even in the wet, cold and dark days of the Seattle winter. My love for running has me coaching a wonderful group of high school distance runners and I organize several local fun runs focused on raising money for local organizations and getting kids interested in the sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I KNOW that Jesus Christ is my Savior. It's not a casual thought or a belief. It is a knowledge. Jesus Christ came to earth to save me from my many sins and to offer me the opportunity to live with Him again. All He asks is that I follow Him. It's a simple concept but not necessarily an easy one to put into practice because I sometimes desire to do my will and not His. Therein lies the challenge of this life: to overcome our selfish desires and turn our lives over to Him. I am a Mormon because through this, His church here on earth, I am taught that I am truly a child of God, that the Gospel of His Son Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth and that Christ's Church is led by apostles and prophets today just as it was in Old and New Testament times. Iknow these things to be true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am far from perfect but I try hard to fulfill Christ's two great commandments: (1) Love God through obedience to His commandments and love my neighbor through serving them...just as he did. (Matthew 22:39) Some days I do really well. Other days, not so much. But the saving grace offered through the atonement of Jesus Christ bridges that gap which makes me eternally grateful to Him.
