Hi I'm Pablo

I’m a simple family man who loves soccer and surfing. I am a cancer survivor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful lady from Brazil, and together we have three children. I am finance professional, and have held various Senior Management positions at banks and other financial institutions. I love the ocean. I am lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by choice and personal conviction. I was not raised a Mormon. I joined the Church as an adult. Missionaries introduced me to the Church and The Book of Mormon. Initially, I was skeptic and even somewhat afraid to read The Book of Mormon, but at the same time, curiosity and intrigue led to me open its pages and read. As I read the book, feelings started to fill my heart. I was not able to fully recognize the feelings at first, but soon I began to notice that as I read, the Book of Mormon feelings of peace and joy came into my life. I notice my behavior and my very nature changing for better. I prayed to God asking if I should join the Church, and the same feelings of love filled me, and a conviction grew within me that I should join the Church. I knew it was the right thing to do. Today, many years latter, my when I am confounded with difficult decision, the same feelings and spirit that guided me to join the Church help me to make the right decision, comfort me in time of need, and at certain times, have warned and protected me. I invite everyone to read The Book of Mormon, and partake of its sweet spirit. The Book of Mormon has draw me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ, taught me eternal truths, and given me strength to resist temptations and choose the right. And it will do the same for anyone, even you, if you but allow its influence to come into your life.

How I live my faith

The teachings of the Mormon Church have always resonated with me as intuitively true. They just feel right to me. The guidelines are simple and well delineated. It is not always easy to obey, but it is always worth it. I strive to keep my body and mind pure and clean. I go to Church on Sundays. I read the scriptures. I pray. I volunteer in various assignments in the Church. I contribute financially to the Church and make attempts to help the needy.
