Hi I'm Christa

I'm California born and raised, a convert, a wife, and a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mom, and a friend. I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom and spend time raising my son. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy crafts like sewing, crocheting, and scrapbooking. I love nature and the outdoors, and of course, the beach. I am happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Just a few weeks after I was born, I was sprinkled with water and baptized as a member of the Catholic Church. Throughout my childhood, my family and I attended mass each Sunday. I had a testimony of Jesus Christ and loved Him very much, but I didn't understand a lot about our faith. I had many questions. I didn't understand why we believed that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost were the same. I didn't understand why people could choose to do awful things, then go to church the next day thinking everything was okay. I didn't understand why we are only with our spouse "until death do us part". There were many things I did not understand, and there were many questions that were left unanswered for years. Then, when I was a couple of years into high school, I started spending time with a member of the church. After some time, I noticed how his family and other Latter-day Saint families lived and loved life. There was something different about them, and whatever it was, I wanted it. I became curious about their faith and started to learn. Over time, I learned about the Gospel, studied it out, and received answers to all those questions I had. Ultimately, I received answers to my prayers and was baptized my senior year of high school. Since then, I have been blessed in abundance with the opportunity to attend school, get married in the temple, and most recently, welcome a baby boy into the world. I know that God truly blesses those who make the right decisions.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church every Sunday at a Mandarin Chinese Branch close to where we live. We attend the branch because we feel the Lord has a purpose for us being there. I do not speak Chinese, but my husband learned it while serving a mission in Asia. We are so grateful the Lord guided us to the branch. We enjoy serving and helping Him build his kingdom. Within the branch, my callings include the Branch Compassionate Service Leader, Visiting Teacher, Friend, and of course, Mother. I enjoy serving the women in the relief society and reaching out to those in need.
