Hi I'm Jaynee

I grew up in Washington, am a wife and mother, love games, love to laugh and make jokes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife to an Army Aviator and a mother to a 5 year old beautiful girl and the cutest baby boy! I grew up LDS, my parents joined the church after meeting with the missionaries and praying about the church and The Book of Mormon. I graduated college with a degree in Spanish and ESL teaching. I stay at home currently but love any opportunity I have to teach anything! I love to be social and have fun meeting all kinds of people!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had so many prayers answered. I have felt the Spirit burning in my heart. I KNOW it's true. I know life is hard, but I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the fullness of Christ's gospel, just as it was when he walked on the Earth. Heavenly Father has one purpose, plan, one way and wants us all to partake of His blessings. God is real. When I think of the human body that is so amazing, how our heart pumps, our eyes work, how we breath, how life is created, I know only God could have created these perfect and amazing bodies! As well as how perfectly the Earth works in our universe, it could NOT have just happened out of nothing. Someone IS in control, and that is our Father in Heaven. Science is real, because God is the creator of all things science! We can't comprehend all things, because we are not a god. But I know some day, it will all be revealed to us. I know The Book of Mormon is true. I have read through it several times, praying to know if it's true, praying to understand it. Heavenly Father answers my prayers and I have felt peace, joy, and understanding when reading it. I can not deny it. I know Christ visited people in other lands besides Jerusalem, he came to the America's where people lived, worshipped, and struggled just as in other parts of the world. He visited His "other sheep" The standards and commandments keep me healthy, clean, and happy. Some things are difficult to obey, we all sin! But we have the atonement to heal us, we pick ourselves up and get back on the horse! And LEARN. As I learn, I know I'm preparing to become more like our Heavenly Father, and if I do all He requires and asks of us, through FAITH, and WORK, I can gain ALL He has. I can be in the celestial kingdom with Him and my Savior, and all my family.

How I live my faith

I LOVE the scriptures! And I strive to read them everyday, usually during nap time :) When I truely pray and read I gain a better understanding and I find answers I need to help me with certain trials, weaknesses, or just to feel joy and put a smile on my face. I serve as a leader in our children's Primary program for kids age 18 months-11 years old. It's so amazing to watch young children go, and we get to help support these children and teach them about Christ's love for them, their ability to pray an communicate with their father in heaven, and all the joys that can be found in life. We sing lots! Their answers are cute, silly, sincere, and special. I go Visiting Teaching each month! Each woman in the church is assigned another sister as her partner to go and visit a few other women in their area to get to know them, build a friendship, support them, teach them, and help them in anyway. I love this! Not only do I get to visit new women but they come visit me each month! I have made so many friends and gain so much support when I need help.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Jaynee
Our bodies are created by God, he has given them to us only to use for good while on the earth. He has asked us to take care of it, to not defile it. When we disrespect our body, we show that we are ungrateful for the beautiful, amazing, and sacred gift our Heavenly Father has given to us. No unclean or impure thing can enter the temple. The temple is the house of God and we should treat our bodies the same way, not allowing impure or unclean things to enter and destroy, or else the Spirit can not dwell within us. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jaynee
The Atonement is Christ suffering ALL our pains, sorrows, guilt, sadness, and illnesses. He did this so He could understand us. We can be forgiven for our sins because He pleads our case to God. If we could not be forgiven, we would carry sorrow and pain around with us through this life, and we would not be able to enter the presence of Heavenly Father, because no unclean thing can enter His presence. He suffered all our sins so we can have that opportunity to live with God again, that is our goal here on Earth! We can be perfected through Christ. This means that as we use the atonement, through repenting, we can continually be made clean. Show more Show less
