Hi I'm Gordon

I'm a law student, father, husband, skier, cook, techy, movie-buff, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love computers, Frisbee golf, economics, tennis, racquetball, and good movies. I love to cook, and try new foods.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormon, and they took me to church with them as early as I can remember. That's not what makes me a Mormon though, my testimony of Jesus Christ does. I remember questioning my own beliefs when I was 17. I figured I had gone to church a lot of Sundays, and there were many more ahead of me. I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. I needed to know that what I was involved in was real. I read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it was true. I know the Holy Ghost testified to me that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I felt it was true then, and I know it is true now. I know it is another testament of Jesus Christ. The more I learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the more I want to know. It helps me be a better husband, a better student at school, and a better father to my new son. It helps me in every aspect of my life, and I know it can help you too.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday morning. I teach a class of four, eight-year-old students. We are studying the Old Testament together, and I think I learn just as much as they do every week.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Gordon
I was able to serve a mission in Maceio, Brazil. I enjoyed the time I spent there learning about a different culture, and way of life. When I visited the homes of people I met there, I told them things I had learned for myself about Christ. I discussed ways they might be able to come closer to Christ, and receive the blessings God had in store for them. I saw many people's lives change for the better because they chose to follow Christ's guidance. I'm confident God can help you to be happier too, and the missionaries are willing and able to answer any questions along the way. Show more Show less
