Hi I'm Britta

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six, four boys and two girls. I am also a grandmother with an adorable 3 yr. old grandson and 1-1/2 year old granddaughter. I have a wonderful husband who I have shared a rich family life with. I enjoy reading, knitting, and have done a lot of gardening. I am learning to adjust to the stage in life where the children all leave home. I do look forward to the next stage of watching my family grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I was looking for answers about the power of prayer when the missionaries entered my life. They not only answered that, but explained many other principles that really made sense to me. I loved the feeling I got when I attended church and learned that they really cared about me, who I was, what problems I might face in life and ways to deal with them. I love the peace that comes with truly knowing who I am and who God is. I love the honest, friendly people. I love listening to the current day prophet who brings us important messesages for these days from the Lord. I don't know that I would have made it through the challenges in life of raising six children without the help of the holy ghost and the principles upon which the church is founded. I love that special feeling when the holy ghost witnessess to me the truth of a gospel principle. I am a Mormon because I believe it is the plan that the Lord laid out and wants us to follow.

How I live my faith

First and fore most by raising my children and teaching them the ways of the Lord. I also currently serve the Young Women of our ward which are 12-18 years of age. It is a joy to work with these young women. Teaching them on Sundays and having a mid week activity with them on Wednesdays. I have also been assigned women in the ward to visit each month. The church has a unique way of everyone watching out and tending to one another. It helps create a close knit congregation. I also follow the admonitions of the Lord to read my scriptures, pray daily, and follow the basic commandments that he has set forth. These things help to bring about a happier life.
