Hi I'm Matthew
I am a Retired Combat Medic of the U.S. Army, happily married, father of two, full-time writer and I'm a Mormon.
I am a Husband, Father, Son, Brother and a Writer. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, camping, reading great books, studying the craft of writing and being in the outdoors.
Why I am a Mormon
Like many others who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was born into this religion. I have served a mission in Chile and have increased my testimony in Jesus Christ over the years. I know that His Church is this one that He restored through Joseph Smith, Jr. I know that He lives, that He paid the price for my sins and transgressions. The Book of Mormon is another testament that Jesus is the Christ and that God contunues to speak through prophets just as He did in ancient times. Thomas S. Monson is God's living mouthpiece today and is the only one authorized to act in all things pertaining to the Kingdom of God on earth at this time.
How I live my faith
I currently am a Sunday School Administrator working with the youth classes and their instructors. I also look after several families, monthly entering their homes to teach and uplift them. I have been asked to assist others to fulfill their assignments in that same area of teaching families in their homes. Asside from those, I give support where needed to a high school journalism program that includes newspaper and yearbook production. I also help a local Boy Scout Troop as well.
