Hi I'm Trevor

I'm from Atlanta, I'm a musician, I love sports, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a fun-loving college student who's trying to get his grades up. I like playing, watching, and talking about any type of sport, especially tennis and basketball. I like reading. I like playing the Trombone and the few songs I can play on the piano. I dig golden Oldies music as well as anything that's not country. I love my Mom and my Dad and my brothers and sisters. I'm an average guy who's far from perfect but I try

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon first and foremost because I love Jesus Christ and I want to follow him. He is the Son of God and He suffered and died for every single one of us. I'm a Mormon because I believe that God still loves us and has once again given us a prophet to lead and guide his church just like in the Old Testament. I'm a Mormon because I believe that the Book of Mormon is ancient Scripture just like the Bible, not meant to replace the Bible but to provide another witness of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I've read the Book of Mormon, pondered and asked God about all these things and have received an answer that these things are right and true. I'm a Mormon because the Mormon Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring me so much Joy and happiness and help me become a better stronger person!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an everyday thing. I do my best to make the right choice in all the decisions I face as I go throughout life. I try to be humble, kind, hard-working, patient, virtuous, all that good stuff that my Savior's taught me to be. I read the Scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father each and every day

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

I've had many people ask me about our belief in Grace and some people don't think we're Christian because we put too much emphasis on works. We believe that there is absolutely no way we can return to live with our Heavenly Father without our Savior Jesus Christ, in fact through his Grace we all will recieve a perfect body no matter what we've done in this life. But In order to go back to live with our Heavenly Father we need to be perfectly clean and the only way that can happen is if we accept his our Savior's atonement through Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. He's done his part now its our turn to do ours! Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Absolutely not. Sometimes in our church it may seem like we worship Joseph Smith because we talk about him so much. Many people have this concern because it seems like we place Joseph Smith right up there with Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is not THE Son of God, nor is he another Savior and Redeemer like Christ was. The name of our Church is not the Church of Joseph Smith but it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because He is the center of our church and we worship Him as well as our Father in Heaven. I guess the reason our church puts a lot of emphasis on Joseph Smith is because he is our Unique message to the world. God Still loves us enough to once again send prophets to the Earth, and Joseph Smith was the first in these modern times. He was nothing more than a faithful prophet just like Moses Show more Show less
