Hi I'm Robert

I am a violin performance major. I love music! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time missionary. I love music! I am a violin performance major and plan to pursue music as a career when I finish my mission. I truly believe that music is one of the many ways that God reaches out to us and shows us His love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but as the years have gone by, I've developed my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel through study and prayer. The biggest reason that I have remained a member of the church is because of the great blessings I have seen it give to my family. We have been through a lot of hard times together and looking back, I know that the thing that held us together and helped put love into our home was and is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also love the church because it's doctrines make a lot of sense to me. This is not a man made church. I know that this is truly God's kingdom upon the Earth. Our church is led by a living prophet, just like in the times that the scriptures were written. It is guided from on high. I don't just think that. I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I currently am serving as a missionary in the Panhandle of Florida. It is my opportunity to share the gospel which has blessed my family so much with others. I live my faith by trying the best that I can every day. That's all that we can do. I am imperfect, but I know that if we strive to be like Jesus Christ and follow His commandments, we are blessed with spiritual safety and comfort.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The blessing of living with God and being with our families forever. Although there are many voices and noise in life, the scriptures give us a spiritual compass to know which things are most important. I know that the information and power that is in the scriptures can heal and strengthen family relationships. That is why God gives us the scriptures. He wants us to have the things that really matter, the things that will go with us past this life. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

First of all, you're probably looking at this website based off of curiosity. Furthermore, you're probably looking at my profile because you want to know who the guy is who put a mormon.org pass along card on your door :) I want to invite you to build upon that curiosity. Ponder the things that make you happy in life and what matters most to your family. Think about what God's plan for you is and how you can come closer to Him. I know that the Book of Mormon and the true church of Jesus Christ can help you know these things with amazing clerity. I know that you can know it too! You can know whether or not this is all true through study and prayer. We need to have a personal relationship with God and a willingness to do whatever He asks. Reading and studying the Book of Mormon is very important. If the Book of Mormon is true, it means that Joseph Smith has to be a prophet, because he couldn't have translated the Book of Mormon without divine help. If Joseph Smith is truly a prophet then it means that the true church of Jesus Christ really was restored. If you study the book with a sincere heart, the Holy Ghost will tell you that it is true in your heart and through your feelings. That is how God communicates with us. When you pray, pour out your heart to God. He wants to hear it! Ask Him if the Book of Mormon is true and He will tell you. In order to recieve this answer, we have to be willing to act on whatever God gives us. I think that is the hardest part. But if we will do all of those things and pray with the intent to willingly act on whatever God gives us, then He will tell us what is true. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

The easiest way to start is to surf mormon.org. On this website, you will find accurate information on exactly what the church believes and how you can know that it is true. The next step is to arrange a meeting with the mormon missionaries. An appointment with missionaries will usualy last between thirty to sixty minutes. Appointments with missionaries are casual and uplifting. Having been serving a mission for about a year and a half, I can attest that the missionaries will always be happy to see you and will be eager to answer your questions in person. You can do this by clicking on the "Missionary Request" button at the top of this page. We will be happy to see you! Show more Show less
