Hi I'm Beth

I love music! I also enjoy trees, peace, love and happiness. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in good old California. Music is a huge part of my life and I love to be outside. Nature makes me happy and helps me feel closer to God. I have an awesome family who loves and supports me. I love to be around people and laugh...alot... I used to be in college as a Social Work major, but in October of 2009 took 18 months off to serve in the Tallahassee Florida Mission. Its the best choice I ever made!

Why I am a Mormon

If you had asked me this question when I was in high school my reply probably would have been something along the lines of "uh, I don't know, because my parents are." Since then I can tell you I am a Mormon because I have studied and prayed and I know this church is true. I guess my conversion began in the summer of 2004. At that point in my life I was wrapped up with me, myself, and I. I remeber my parents wanting me to go to a week long youth activity in Provo, Utah. I wasn't that thrilled, but I went anyway. I am so grateful I did. I had some really great spiritual experiances that really helped me to know that God really is aware of me, he knows exactly who I am and he loves me very much. From there my testimoney started to grow more and more. I began to want to know and do things for myself, not because thats what I was "supposed" to do. It all felt right and made sense. I never had a huge miraculous moment, I just felt really good about how I was living my life and exercising my faith. The more I studied from the scriptures and the more I prayed, the more I knew, and still know, that this is the one and only true church. I know with all my heart that The Book of Mormon is true. I know that this is Christ's church restored to the earth through a modern day prophet. I know that as a 14 year old boy, Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He is my strength and why I live my life in the way I do. I show my love for him by living his gospel on a daily basis. I know that God loves me and if I do all I am asked to do in this life, I will see him again and will be with my family forever. That means the world to me.

How I live my faith

Currently I am living my faith by serving the Lord for 18 months in the Tallahassee Florida Mission. It is the best thing I have ever done with my life. Every day I get to teach others about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and how their families can be eternal. When I'm not a full time missionary I live my faith by being an example of what I believe and know to be true.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Beth
Ypu can know if Mormonism is true by reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. Go straight to the source of all truth, God. He will give you an answer if you really want to know for yourself if this is all true. If you come to know that it is true, then that means Joseph Smith really was a prophet, that he really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and he really did restore the fullness of Christ's gospel to the earth today through the power of God. I know if you really ask with "a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, He will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the Power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." Moroni 10:4-5 Show more Show less
