Hi I'm Dave Murray

I'm a Mormon. I grew up on a small farm in Ohio. I am a Certified Public Accountant with licenses in several states.

About Me

I love to play games, and play with my wife, children and neighbors. Every year I try to grow a garden but I am a very poor gardener. This year however, my youngest daughter started a small garden and she grew a lot of tomatoes. I love working as a CPA since the work I do is analytical. I also like the interaction with the clients and teaching them how to better run their business. My wife was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. She has been fantastic through it all. Our neighbors, the school where my wife worked, and the church have all been fantastic and very supportive. It has been very rough on our three youngest kids Our extended family of neighbors, school and church has made a very difficult time much more bearable for us all. Because of the excellent doctors, Donna's outlook is very good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for very simple reasons: 1. A long time ago I studied the gospel, and then prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true. 2. The Spirit of God testifies to me very strongly that it is. 3. I then prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet. 4. The Spirit of God again testified to me very strongly that he was. 5. The Spirit of God has testified to me, on many different occassions, in varied circumstances, throughout my life since then that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true; that Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that the Book of Mormon is true. Logic dictates that I must follow what I know, therefore I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting the principles of Christ's life into my own. Sometimes this is not easy. I help my neighbors withouth their knowing, and sometimes with their knowing. The same at my workplace. I try to be a good example of how I want my kids to live when they are adults. When I fall, I get up again knowing that Jesus is there for me and has provided a way for me to return and live with him with my family.
